Ca' del Baio
In the heart of Barbaresco country, where the hills of Piedmont roll in soft waves beneath ancient skies, Ca’ del Baio has quietly cultivated its legacy—one harvest, one generation, one glass at a time. This is not just a winery. It’s a family story, told through vines that have been rooted in Treiso soil for over a century.
For the Grasso family, wine is an inheritance of both land and love. Today, the estate is led by sisters Paola, Valentina, and Federica—three women who carry forward the traditions of their father Giulio and great-grandfather Luigi with deep pride and refreshing vitality. Their hands tend the same Nebbiolo vines, their eyes scan the same horizons, but their vision is distinctly their own.
Ca’ del Baio is best known for its expressive Barbaresco wines, which capture the soul of Nebbiolo with elegance, power, and precision. Each cru—Asili, Pora, Vallegrande, Marcarini—is a lesson in terroir, a gentle reminder that even within a single grape, place makes all the difference. Farming is done sustainably, and the approach in the cellar is patient and minimal, allowing the wines to evolve with grace and authenticity.
What sets Ca’ del Baio apart is not just its wine, but its warmth. There’s a sense of welcome here, of family, of honest work done with care. It’s in every bottle—a subtle whisper of Piemonte, carried by people who know the land like an old friend.
