Champagne André Jacquart

Champagne André Jacquart

In a region defined by legacy and precision, André Jacquart is a grower Champagne house that stands apart—quietly confident, rigorously focused, and deeply expressive of terroir. Founded in the 1950s and revitalised by the fourth generation, the house embodies a new energy rooted in old vines, with a singular focus on Chardonnay and the chalk-rich soils of the Côte des Blancs.

The Jacquart family has cultivated vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger since 1908, and today, all fruit comes from their own estate—primarily Grand Cru vineyards in Le Mesnil and Premier Cru sites in Vertus. Under the stewardship of Marie Doyard, the great-granddaughter of André Jacquart, the house has redefined its identity with a bold, quality-first approach that prioritises low dosage, extended lees ageing, and oak vinification. The result is Champagne that is unapologetically precise, layered, and mineral-driven.

Unlike many in the region, André Jacquart vinifies a significant portion of its Chardonnay in oak barrels without malolactic fermentation. This choice preserves purity and structure while adding textural depth and complexity. Each cuvée is produced with a patient hand: long lees contact enhances autolytic character, while dosage is kept minimal to allow the terroir to speak clearly.

The flagship Brut Experience is a pure expression of Le Mesnil chalk—tense, saline, and vibrant—while Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru from Vertus offers a softer, rounder profile. The Extra Brut Millésimé and Rosé de Saignée add depth to the range, combining elegance with vinous intensity. Across the portfolio, the wines exhibit fine beading, tightly coiled citrus and stone fruit, and a long, chalky finish—Champagne with clarity and quiet power.

The packaging is refined and modern, reflecting the brand’s grower roots without sacrificing sophistication. Labels are clean, tactile, and understated—an elegant frame for the wines’ more expressive contents.

André Jacquart is not Champagne for fanfare—it’s Champagne for those who appreciate nuance, structure, and the authenticity of grower philosophy. Every bottle represents a deep connection to land, heritage, and the evolution of Champagne as a wine of place rather than just celebration.

This is grower Champagne with grand cru pedigree and modern soul. A house that honours its past, embraces its vines, and delivers Champagne that rewards attention—and elevates every moment it touches.
