Château Fuissé
In the heart of southern Burgundy, where the limestone slopes of the Mâconnais catch the morning light, Château Fuissé stands as the emblem of Pouilly-Fuissé. A family estate for five generations, it has been helmed by the Vincent family since 1862—each era marked by quiet innovation and a steadfast devotion to Chardonnay.
The estate spans 40 hectares across the most prized sites of Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, Mâcon, and Juliénas. But it is in Pouilly-Fuissé that the domaine has forged its soul. The vineyards are a mosaic of limestone-rich soils, with elevations, exposures, and microclimates that bring finesse and individuality to each cuvée. Careful vineyard work—emphasizing soil health, limited yields, and manual harvesting—ensures that each plot is a faithful expression of its place.
In the cellar, Antoine Vincent continues the lineage of precision and respect. Fermentation is carried out in a mix of stainless steel and oak, tailored to the personality of each terroir. Aging typically spans 10 to 12 months, with bâtonnage applied sparingly to preserve freshness and structure. The result is a style that marries richness with mineral clarity—Burgundian in soul, Mâconnais in expression.
The Château Fuissé Pouilly-Fuissé “Tête de Cuvée” is a flagship blend, drawing from multiple parcels to showcase the domaine’s signature balance of depth, creaminess, and chalky lift. Single-vineyard bottlings, such as Le Clos (soon to be among the first 1er Cru sites of the appellation), offer an even more sculpted expression—tense, age-worthy, and complex. The range also includes exemplary bottlings from Saint-Véran and Mâcon-Villages, each echoing the house style of purity and poise.
Château Fuissé is not only a custodian of Pouilly-Fuissé’s identity but one of its shapers. From vineyard to bottle, the estate expresses a quiet confidence—honoring the land, the grape, and the lineage with unwavering focus.
Each bottle is a limestone echo—bright, layered, and eloquently Burgundian in its restraint and resonance.
