Massey Dacta
Massey Dacta is a Marlborough wine label built on heritage, humour, and a deep connection to the land. It began on a fourth-generation family farm, where the Glover family transformed their dairy operation into vineyards — and eventually, into a wine project rooted in both experience and playfulness.
The name itself is a nod to the past, inspired by the family's trusty Massey Ferguson tractor — lovingly mispronounced by the children as “Massey Dacta.” That lighthearted spirit runs through the brand’s identity: thoughtful wines made with care, but never with pretension.
At the core of Massey Dacta is a belief that wine should be both seriously good and seriously enjoyable. The winemaking reflects a commitment to clarity, freshness, and balance — letting the vineyards speak, without overcomplicating the message. Fruit is sourced from sustainably farmed sites across Marlborough, selected for their character, vibrancy, and ability to deliver expressive results with minimal intervention.
The result? A range of wines that feel distinctly New Zealand — energetic, honest, and full of life. Massey Dacta doesn’t try to impress with jargon or overstyled branding. Instead, it invites people in with a sense of humour, a wink of nostalgia, and the quiet confidence that great wine doesn’t have to shout.
This is wine made by people who know their land, love what they do, and believe that joy belongs in every glass.
