Podere Giodo

Podere Giodo

In the hills between Montalcino and Sant’Angelo in Colle, where olive trees and cypress lines trace the folds of the land, Podere Giodo exists as both a vineyard and a personal statement. Created by celebrated winemaker Carlo Ferrini, the estate is the realisation of a long-held dream—to craft wines that express the truest essence of Tuscany, with humility, elegance, and deep-rooted respect.

From its inception, Giodo was conceived not as a brand, but as a living project. Every vine was planted by hand, each decision made with a singular vision: to honour the land and coax from it something genuine. The estate’s amphitheatre-shaped vineyard, set on stony soils at high elevation, offers a natural harmony between exposure, drainage, and biodiversity.

Farming here is organic, precise, and deeply attentive. Ferrini’s philosophy favours restraint over intervention, purity over embellishment. In the cellar, the same ethic continues—patient, gentle winemaking that reflects what the vintage gives, rather than imposing a signature style.

What emerges from Podere Giodo is not just a reflection of place, but of intention: thoughtful, graceful, and deeply personal. It’s the work of a winemaker not trying to impress, but to express—quietly, confidently, and always with reverence for the land that makes it possible.
