Wuliangye
Sichuan Yibin Wuliangye Group Co., Ltd. (Wuliangye Group) is a large state-owned enterprise with baijiu as its primary business, supported by eco-friendly packaging, smart manufacturing, logistics, financial investment, and health industries. The Group is also engaged in the fields of smart manufacturing, eco-friendly packaging, smart logistics, financial investment, health and well-being. Wuliangye Group covers a planned area of 18 km². With nearly 50,000 staff members, Wuliangye Group boasts an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of pure-grain raw baijiu using solid-state fermentation, and a storage capacity of one million tons. It houses the largest workshop capable of producing 42,000 tons of baijiu annually, making it one of the world’s largest bases for pure-grain solid-state baijiu production. It boasts ancient fermentation pit clusters that have been in continuous use since the early Yuan and Ming Dynasties. The traditional baijiu-making techniques of Wuliangye have been enlisted among National Intangible Cultural Heritages of China.
Wuliangye Group Import & Export Co., Ltd. was established in 1999. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wuliangye Group and the executor of the group's internationalization strategy.
The Import & Export Co., Ltd. currently has six overseas branches: three major marketing centers in Asia-Pacific, the Americas, and Europe; and three Wuliangye dining in Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore.
As a quintessential representative of China’s strong-aroma Baijiu and a renowned national brand, Wuliangye Baijiu is made from five grains: sorghum, rice, glutinous rice, wheat, and corn. It integrates the essence of these grains and has honored and safeguarded the title of “China’s Time-honored Brand”, through generations of craftsmanship, Wuliangye presents a comprehensive beauty of combination and fusion. It has been honored multiple times as "National Famous Liquor" and was among the first protected names under the China-EU Geographical Indications Agreement.
According to the Brand Finance Global 500 2025 ranking, Wuliangye ranked 73rd with a brand value of US$27.778 billion, maintaining the highest global brand strength rating of AAA+. It also ranked 30th in Asia's Top 500 Brands and 15th in China's 500 Most Valuable Brands. Wuliangye has also receive honors such as the "China Charity Award" and "National May 1st Labor Medal". On October 16, 2025, Wuliangye achieved the highest score ever awarded to a Chinese enterprise, winning the highest-level EFQM Global Award (7 Diamonds) and the special award for "Outstanding Achievement for Driving Business Performance whilst Leading the Adoption of UNSDGs."
