A Spanish Evening | Marqués de Murrieta & Friends (Auckland 30 July)

Join us for an evening exploring some of Spain’s most revered wines, centred around the historic house of Marqués de Murrieta — one of Rioja’s great estates and home to the legendary Castillo Ygay.

This tasting brings together a lineup that moves from fresh Albariño and elegant Rosé through to mature Rioja and some of Spain’s most iconic expressions of Tempranillo. There’s a wonderful sense of generosity and tradition to these wines, balanced by freshness, structure and remarkable longevity.

A highlight of the evening is Castillo Ygay 2012, widely regarded as one of the benchmark wines of Spain — layered, complex and deeply refined. Alongside it, we’ll pour Murrieta’s Gran Reserva 2016, Rioja 2021, and a selection of wines from producers and regions that complement the story beautifully.

An impressive lineup and a rare chance to experience the depth and diversity of modern Spanish fine wine side by side.
