The palate is rich and layered, balancing concentrated red and dark fruit with fine, structured tannins and vibrant acidity. Subtle notes of crushed stone and savoury herbs add complexity, leading to a long, elegant finish.
From the historic Corton Grand Cru vineyard in the Côte de Beaune, Bonneau du Martray's red Corton is produced from Pinot Noir grown on the slopes of the Corton hill. The warm 2022 vintage brings depth and ripeness while retaining the freshness and structure that define great Burgundy. Expressive in its youth, this is a wine with the balance and concentration to develop beautifully over time.

Aromas of red berries, cherries and plums, lent relief by scents of spices and violets, Bonneau du Martray's 2022 Corton Grand Cru is medium to full-bodied, suave and lively, with refined tannins and a long, perfumed finish, it transcends what I would have thought possible for this bottling a decade ago. This saw 12 months in 228-liter barrels, followed by five months in 500-liter barrels that were previously used for white wine.
