Cherry and redcurrant are lifted by cracked pepper and savoury spice, leading into a structured palate with firm, present tannins. Les Guillandes grows on stony clay-limestone soils over hard Bathonian limestone, giving the wine freshness and definition beneath its generous 2023 fruit. Hand harvested and matured for 13 months in oak with only around 10% new barrels, this is a serious Cote de Nuits-Villages with impressive structure and regional character.
