Capitain Gagnerot Ladoix 2023 (750ml)
Capitain Gagnerot Ladoix 2023 (750ml)
Raspberry and cherry lead into subtle spice and earthy notes, with a round, generous palate and supple tannins. Grown on the Corton hillside where the Cote de Beaune meets the Cote de Nuits, this 2023 Ladoix combines ripe vintage fruit with the freshness of limestone and clay soils. Aged for 13 months in oak with only a small proportion of new barrels, it remains fruit-focused, polished and immediately appealing.

In bottle. A lovely even ruby. The bouquet is very similar to the joyous 2022. Slightly firmer tannins this year but the same gorgeous mid raspberry fruit with some softer strawberry notes behind. Keep for a couple of years then open and drink copiously. Super length once again. Drink from 2026-2029.
