Champagne 2018: A Vintage to Remember – Wellington 16 December

For our final Wellington tasting of the year, we’re going big: nine vintage Champagnes, all from the remarkable 2018 vintage.

2018 was an exceptional year in Champagne, producing a collection of wines that deserves the attention of anyone who loves great Champagne. For this tasting, we’ve assembled an extraordinary line-up from some of the region’s most celebrated houses and growers — a chance to explore this great vintage through nine very different expressions.

Normanby Wellington Manager Tom Mapplebeck will host the evening, taking you through the wines, producers and stories behind the vintage.

At the pinnacle sits Henri Giraud Argonne 2018, alongside Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill 2018 and Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2018 by Jacquemus. We’ll taste these alongside Louis Roederer, Philipponnat, Franck Bonville, Pierre Bertrand and Paul Bara.

Nine 2018 vintage Champagnes, one after another, from some of Champagne’s greatest names. An exceptional line-up and a fitting way to bring our Wellington tasting calendar for 2026 to a close.
