Domaine Joseph Voillot Volnay 1er Cru Les Champans 2023 (750ml)

Raspberry and ripe cherry are at the forefront, layered with darker berry notes that bring depth and richness. It feels more generous and open than some of the other Volnay sites.

Les Champans is known for producing fuller-bodied wines, and this follows that line. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in a proportion of new oak, it carries more weight through the mid-palate. Tannins are present but well integrated, with subtle spice and a rounded texture. There’s a richness here, but it’s balanced by freshness, finishing long and composed.
