Fresh peach, green apple and lemon make this Chardonnay bright and immediately appealing, with grapefruit adding a lively citrus edge. The fruit is pure and energetic, balanced by a gently creamy texture and the fine, flinty mineral character that is a hallmark of the wine.
Sourced from biodynamically farmed vineyards around the Verzé valley, the wine is fermented and aged across stainless steel, foudres and concrete to retain freshness and clarity. There’s an elegant balance between texture and acidity, finishing clean, mineral and refreshing.
A beautifully approachable introduction to Domaines Leflaive and a very polished expression of Chardonnay from the Mâconnais.

Freshly sliced apple, lemon rind and petrol nuances precede the delicious, punchy and voluminous flavors that offers solid depth and persistence on the nicely dry finish where touches of youthful austerity and rusticity slowly emerge. This is first-rate for a regional wine and very much recommended.
