White peach, crisp apple and grapefruit make this Chardonnay immediately bright and inviting, with the fruit gaining a little extra richness from a subtle pastry-like note. Fresh citrus carries through the palate, balancing its rounded, gently fleshy texture.
Les Chênes is farmed biodynamically and harvested by hand, bringing Domaine Leflaive’s meticulous approach to Chardonnay south to the Mâconnais. There’s plenty of generosity here, but also the precision the domaine is known for, with a fine mineral character keeping the wine focused through a fresh, clean and persistent finish.

Freshly sliced apple, lemon rind and petrol nuances precede the delicious, punchy and voluminous flavors that offers solid depth and persistence on the nicely dry finish where touches of youthful austerity and rusticity slowly emerge. This is first-rate for a regional wine and very much recommended.
