Ballechin is Edradour’s heavily peated expression, offering a different take on the house style. Earthy peat smoke meets fragrant spices, old leather, and toffee on the nose. The palate carries fruity peat notes with undertones of aniseed, dark chocolate, and a whiff of ginger. The finish is smoky, gently sweet and medium in length. Bottled at 46% ABV and matured in a mix of bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry casks, this is a robust, smoky malt for lovers of Highland peat.
