Baked apple, prune and dried fruit open into caramel, walnut, vanilla and sweet spice, with deeper notes of cocoa and mature oak emerging as it opens. Distilled from cider made with a wide range of traditional apple varieties grown on Bordelet's iron-rich Argelette soils, this rare 1996 Calvados spent more than two decades developing in oak. Rich, silky and exceptionally persistent, it is a profound, mature expression of Normandy fruit and terroir.
