Henri Giraud Esprit Nature Nv
Henri Giraud Esprit Nature Nv
Golden-hued with a soft, persistent mousse, Esprit Nature opens with a deep, vinous nose—ripe mirabelle plum, orange peel, crushed herbs, and sweet spice, grounded by a touch of smoky oak. The palate is textured and enveloping, offering layers of baked apricot, hazelnut, and beeswax over a firm, earthy core. A gentle oxidative edge adds warmth and character, balanced by bright acidity and a supple, creamy mousse. The finish is savoury and persistent, echoing with dried citrus and woodsy spice. Expressive and terroir-driven, Esprit Nature reflects Giraud’s signature élevage in Argonne oak—an artisanal, gastronomic Champagne that bridges nature and craftsmanship with bold finesse.

A juicy and flavorful Champagne with phenolics and a brightness and energy. Full with lots of flavors like sliced pineapple, dried peach and stone, yet it is fresh and vibrant. New label and bottle. Henri Giraud DNA in this. About 80% pinot noir and 20% chardonnay.

The NV Brut Esprit Nature displays an iodine-inflected and elegant bouquet of menthol, anise, licorice, white peach and spices intertwined with notes of clementine. Medium-bodied, round and sappy, it's slightly creamy, with an elegant, fresh mid-palate that segues into an ethereal, long finish. Bottled in 2021, it was disgorged in November 2023 with a dosage of five grams per liter. This is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay.

This balanced Champagne has a fine mousse, with a well-knit spine of citrus-laced acidity defining rich notes of plumped cherry, rosehip, biscuit and candied ginger. Drink now through 2024. 10,000 cases made, 600 cases imported.
