Dried apricot, ripe quince and baked apple come through with the depth and softness of a beautifully mature Chenin Blanc. Candied citrus adds a little brightness, keeping the fruit alive and expressive.

Layers of honeycomb, beeswax and toasted almond follow, with gentle spice and mineral notes adding complexity. The acidity remains remarkably fresh, carrying everything into a long, composed finish.

A beautifully evolved Vouvray with more than three decades behind it—and plenty of character still to give.
