Black cherry and blackberry sit at the core, with redcurrant, plum, savoury earth and spice adding complexity. The palate is powerful and structured, but Michel Gros' polished tannins keep the wine refined rather than heavy. The generous fruit of 2023 gives immediate richness, balanced by the freshness and backbone for which Nuits-Saint-Georges is known. A serious Premier Cru expression with considerably more depth, concentration and ageing potential than the village wines.
