The Icons: A World of Great Red Wine – Wellington 17 November

This is a bucket-list red wine tasting: eight exceptional wines, bringing together some of the great names and flagship wines of the wine world for one very special evening in Wellington.

Normanby Director of Wine Liz Wheadon is flying down to Wellington especially to host the tasting, presenting a line-up that travels from Bordeaux and Bolgheri to Napa Valley and Waiheke Island.

We’ll taste Opus One, Sassicaia and Ornellaia alongside Château Cos d’Estournel, Château Bélair-Monange and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars S.L.V., before bringing things closer to home with Stonyridge Larose and the remarkable Château Garage Lorenzo.

These are wines with extraordinary reputations, wines that sit on collectors’ wish lists and wines we rarely have the opportunity to pour together. Liz will take you through each of them, sharing the stories behind the estates, vineyards and vintages as we taste.

Eight great reds, from some of the world’s most celebrated wine regions, all on the table in one evening. This is a tasting for anyone who has ever wanted to experience the icons of the wine world side by side.
