Far exceeding the expectations of a typical Côtes du Rhône Blanc, this is a wine that comfortably sits alongside some of the finest white Châteauneuf-du-Pape bottlings — and often surpasses them for purity, freshness and finesse. Ripe peach, apricot and citrus lead the aromatics, layered with lemon zest, white flowers, subtle spice and wild herbs that bring lift and complexity from the first swirl.

The palate is generous yet remarkably poised, balancing juicy stone fruit with vibrant acidity and a delicate savoury edge. Hints of honey, crushed herbs and mineral notes add depth without taking away from the wine’s energy and precision. There’s a beautiful texture here — rounded and enveloping, yet always fresh and lively across the palate.

What makes this wine so compelling is its ability to combine richness with tension, delivering the concentration and complexity expected from top-tier Rhône whites while retaining a bright, effortless drinkability. The finish is long, refined and quietly powerful, lingering with notes of citrus, white peach and soft spice.

An exceptional Rhône white that proves appellation alone rarely tells the full story.

The Wine Advocate, 92/100

Vibrant and harmonious, the 2024 Cotes du Rhone Lieu Dit Clavin Blanc opens with aromas of jasmine, white fruits, spices and herbs. Medium- to full-bodied, juicy and enveloping, it remains fresh and lively throughout, concluding with a long, ethereal finish. Despite its modest Côtes-du-Rhône appellation, it surpasses more than a few whites from Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
