Domaine Parent Pommard 1Er Cru Les Croix Noires 2022 (750ml)
Seductive yet structured, the 2022 Les Croix Noires displays aromas of pressed rose petals, morello cherry, and crushed strawberry. Medium-bodied with supple tannins and a rich mouthfeel, the wine’s 20% whole cluster fermentation and careful use of new oak lend depth and complexity. While a touch reserved now, it promises to evolve beautifully over the next 3–4 years, revealing its polished character with patience.

The 2018 Pommard Les Croix Noires ler Cru, with 20% whole cluster and 45% new oak, has a nicely detailed, pressed-rose-petal-infused bouquet of morello cherry, crushed strawberry and red currant. This is very seductive but more understated than the Les Chanlins. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. The new oak needs more time to fully integrate here and just occludes the finish at the moment. Give this 3-4 years in bottle to cohere.
