Stephane Ogier Mon Village Cote Rotie 2021 (750ml)
Blackberry, violet and cracked pepper with smoky depth and fine tannins. Silky and structured, with that unmistakable Northern Rhône elegance. From one of the Côte-Rôtie greats, this is Syrah with finesse and ageability. Decant for now, or hold for 5–10 years.

Unquestionably, one of the most exciting Domaines in the world of wine today is that of superstar winemaker Stephane Ogier. These wines shine for their purity of fruit as well as balance. While the expensive releases get all the attention, don’t miss the La Rosine, L’Ame Soeur, Saint Joseph, or Côte Rôtie Mon Village from this estate. These are terrific wines that offer loads of character and represent smoking values for the true wine lovers and wine drinkers out there. There are two Côte Rôties in the vintage from Ogier. Vinified from 100% destemmed grapes the 2021 Côte Rôtie Mon Village is forward and charming, with classic black raspberry, spice, spring flowers, and subtle gamey notes in its medium-bodied, silky, elegant profile. It shines in the vintage and is beautifully balanced.
