Terra Sancta Shingle Beach Pinot Noir 2024 (750ml)
Terra Sancta Shingle Beach Pinot Noir 2024 (750ml)
Shingle Beach is shaped by its place — perched on the edge of the Kawarau River, where ancient limestone soils and wild thyme define the landscape. The 2024 vintage captures that singular site expression with remarkable clarity and quiet intensity.
The aromatics are immediate yet finely detailed: dried strawberries and blackberries lead, unfolding into layers of dried flowers, white pepper, clove and a subtle lift of orange peel. There’s a savoury mineral thread running beneath the fruit — a graphite and limestone edge that speaks directly to the riverbank soils.
Medium- to full-bodied, the palate carries both presence and precision. Red and dark berries are woven through a structural core of beautifully formed tannins — powerful, yet seamlessly integrated. The texture is where this wine truly distinguishes itself: silken but architectural, with a firmness that frames the fruit rather than dominating it. Minimal intervention winemaking and wild fermentation allow the site to take centre stage, resulting in a wine that feels pure, composed and deeply expressive.
There’s impressive length here — the finish persistent and mineral, tapering slowly with spice and fine tannin lingering for minutes. It’s compelling now for its vibrancy and perfume, but it has the structure to evolve gracefully.
A striking expression of Bannockburn Pinot Noir — textural, poised and intensely site-driven.

An incredible wine with aromas of dried strawberries, dried flowers, cloves, white pepper and limestone. It’s medium- to full-bodied with superb presence and intensity. The strawberry and mineral undertones go on for minutes. Great texture and energy. From Dijon clone planted in 2001. Organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
