Jean Chartron Chassagne Montrachet 2023 (750ml)
Jean Chartron Chassagne Montrachet 2023 (750ml)
It shows ripe citrus, white peach, and yellow apple on the nose, with a touch of lemon peel adding brightness. The fruit feels slightly broader and more generous, true to the Chassagne style.
The palate has a rounded texture, with notes of almond, light oak, and a gentle savoury edge alongside the fruit. There’s still a fresh line of acidity to keep it balanced. The finish is smooth and persistent, with a subtle richness that lingers nicely.

Made from Les Benoîtes and young vine Caillerets. A lime tint to the colour, with some flesh on the nose, and a little well-judged oak. This is very prettily balanced, no more than medium depth, with a good fruit-acid balance. Drink from 2027-2030. Tasted Oct 2024.’
